At the beginning of the week, I promised to work on my blog pictures. I had previously been taking photos on my iPod, emailing them to myself and posting them on my blog. This was time consuming and resulted in low quality photos. I decided it was time to figure out a way to transfer pictures from my camera to my computer. To my surprise - it was quite simple!
I did a little online research and found that all I needed was a memory card reader. I went to Best Buy and purchased this:
This is the Dynex 3-in-1 memory card reader. My camera uses the Memory Stick Pro Duo memory card, so this was the right choice for me. There were several options to choose from based on the type of memory stick your camera uses, so read the packages carefully. I also asked a Best Buy team member to confirm this was the right one for me. I paid $16.48 in the store at Best Buy, but you can find them on Amazon for much less. Just be sure to read the product description to make sure you are getting the correct one.
The set-up was super quick and easy. I placed my memory stick in the appropriate slot (top left in my case), plugged in the USB and the computer did the rest of the work! For troubleshooting, you can refer to the instruction booklet, or the Dynex website for more information.
That's it! I told you it was easy! I am excited to share much better photos in future posts.
