Wedding Wednesday - The Jewelry

This week I want to share with you my wedding jewelry.  My dress had a lot of lace and pearl detailing, so I wanted to keep the jewelry extremely simple.  I designed the necklace, which consisted of 5 small pearls in a row on a sterling silver chain.  The pearl and rhinestone drop earrings were designed by my mom's good friend, Laurie Roethemeyer, who handmade both pieces.  She was so sweet to work with.  I stopped by her house one weekend and we sat in her craft room discussing what I envisioned for my wedding jewelry.

She also designed and made the necklace and earrings worn by my mom for the wedding.  My mom sent her photos of the dress she had chosen and Laurie crafted the pieces to coordinate.  They were beautiful as well.

Laurie's original designs can be found on her website:

Along with the necklace & earrings, I also found a pretty bracelet to match at JCPenney.  This pearl and crystal bracelet is still available for $12 - not too shabby!  They have a nice selection of special occasion jewelry and I picked up some of the bridesmaids jewelry there as well - but that is a topic for another day.

Note to future brides out there - don't wear a ponytail holder on your arm the morning of your wedding or you will end up with pictures of that signature indent.  See proof above.  Once again, photos are by WhiteKlump Photography.

  1. I'd been glimpsing your wedding photos on facebook and it looks like you had a beautiful wedding and a great reception. Your photographer did a great job really capturing how happy you both were that day.

I'd love to hear from you!
