Bathroom Storage Solutions

One of my 5 things to do every day is to keep the counters clean.  The kitchen counter wasn't too hard to control, but my bathroom counter was always OUT of control:

Everything is haphazardly sprawled out of over the counter.  The problem is - we have this fantastic long counter, but no storage built in.

There is just one cabinet under the sink, but it is a big empty space with no shelves.  I tried placing some baskets down there to organize my hair & makeup supplies, but there wasn't enough room and it just didn't work.  The good news is there is plenty of great space under the counter.

I looked all around and finally settled on these ClosetMaid organizers from Lowes.  I believe I paid $10 for the shelf and $35 for the drawers.  I spent two nights putting these together while Patrick was working late.

The result:

Fabulous!  It was the perfect fit!

I store my skin care, makeup, eyeball stuff & toothbrush in the top drawer.

The bottom drawer holds all my hair care items.

And the shelf underneath is the perfect size for extra toilet paper and tissues.

Now it is super easy to clean off the counter every morning before I leave for work.

Next on the list:  Get this bathroom painted!

  1. My bathroom closet is embarrassing right now. I have 2 different drawer storage things but they're full, which resulted in placing a box next them to hold things so they don't fall through the wire rack. I have made this my next project. I'm almost certain the majority of the products on the bottom/in the back expired 5 years ago. I have anxiety every time I open the closet.

  5. OH its PERFECT! Fits perfectly with lots of compartments. I have to admit I've been SUPER proud of keeping my kitchen counters clean and hadn't even considered the bathroom counters. Do those have to count? haha... yes I guess they do and you do a GREAT job of getting yours organized.

  7. There are many ways to go about organizing your closet. Different methods make more sense depending on your space and what you’re storing. No matter which method you choose, these closet storage solutions  definitely helps you to reduce the space usage. Once again great post man! Cheers!

  8. I've been renting a unit here for quite some time and I love this place (never thought I'd say that about a storage place, but there it is!). I've rented other spaces in years past, but the service and location here just can not be beat! I found this blog while reading about Self storage software.
