Snowy Sunday

It's Sunday and we have not left the house all day.  Snow accumulation has topped 9 inches and counting.  I'm crossing my fingers for a snow day tomorrow...a girl can hope, right?

This afternoon I snapped a few outdoor photos:

The sheep on the right is completely covered and baby Jesus has almost disappeared under the snow as well...

Love the trees in our backyard - always so pretty

St. Francis is getting buried on our deck.

It was much too cold and windy for Claire to go outside, but we did let her try out a hat inside:

She is such a big cheese!

Yesterday was my *gulp* 29th birthday and Patrick & I celebrated by going to the 10:30 am showing of Saving Mr. Banks.  Yes, we are that old married couple that goes to the movies before noon.  The theater was more crowded than I expected although I was correct in my predicition that we were the youngest ones there.  The movie was a sweet story and appreciated by this lover of Mary Poppins.

Patrick took me to Hobby Lobby and purchased this for our fireplace mantel next Christmas:

I've been wanting a framed nativity print for several years now and at 80% off - this holy family picture was too beautiful to pass up.  I was immediately drawn to this particular piece because the way baby Jesus is stretching reminded me of Claire when she was born.

Well, I've got a screaming baby who is ready to splash in a warm bathtub.  Please keep your fingers crossed that I don't have to brave the elements tomorrow!
